Fundraising Ideas
Fundraising is VERY important, and requires a lot of effort to be successful, but the rewards are definitely worth it.
A suggestion is to physically deposit $15-$20 a week into an account specifically for your child’s camp tuition.
If you are planning on fundraising it is EXTREMELY important that you begin immediately. Waiting until Spring will only decrease your chances of receiving funds from organizations.

Restaurant Gift Cards
This is for you that you can do on your own and at your time line. From Janet: WOW after I saw this fundraising idea to order restaurant gift cards with 50 percent profit, it is huge success. I have sold 10 cards so far and I have 20 more cards need to be ordered. I recommend that KODAs sell restaurant gift cards as an easy way to earn money for camp. The website is www.easy-fundraising-ideas.com/products/restaurant-discount-cards as well as fundraising.restaurant.com.
Instructions for ordering restaurant cards: A minimum order of 10 cards ($100) on a credit card must be made. Each card is sold for $20, with each card having value of up to $50. The profit is $100 total on this order. If you have any questions or need help to get started, you can contact Kari at Kari@easy-fundraising-ideas.com. These gift cards are great for holidays, anniversaries, birthdays, just because, or thank yous!

Sales
Time to clean out your house and get rid of stuff you don’t need! If you are crafty, think about making something to sell! (Etsy.com is a great way to sell homemade crafts! Accounts are free.) Advertising your special skills is another great idea! If you love to walk dogs, babysit, or want to provide some other service, let your neighbors and community know! Bake sales are also a great idea! If you don’t want to end up with leftover cookies, you can take orders for your special homemade cookies ahead of time!
Dinner Fundraising
Host a spaghetti dinner, pancake brunch or something along that path and invite the community to attend. It is a lot of work, you will need volunteers, but the payoff should be more than worth it!
Movie Fundraising
Host a movie at a venue in your town! ASL Films will work with any organization to release a movie (permission by the movie company is necessary). All you need is a theater, popcorn and candy and you are set! Does hosting at a theater cost too much? Ask your church, community college or a training center for their help!

Pizza Fundraising
Wisconsin has been doing Corbi fundraising. It works well for some families. It is recommended that several families work together.
Sports Events
Sign up for a college concession stand and work there for several days/nights depending on their schedule and earn 10 percent of their sales. I had the opportunity to work at UW Women’s Basketball game one Sunday and WAD was able to bring in a lot of funds. Set up a KODA group in your city and sign up for local concession stands. It required a team of one or two persons to fully commit to attend every game to ensure consistency to work with the lead person. It is worth a try. How about major sport events? Based on this experience, WAD is guaranteed to receive at least $3000 a year. It is fun and intense (not to mention for a great cause, your kids!).
