Restaurant Gift Cards
This is an idea for you that you can do on your own and at your time line. From Janet: WOW after I saw this fundraising idea to order restaurant gift cards with 50 percent profit, it is huge success. I have sold 10 cards so far and I have 20 more cards that need to be ordered. I recommend that KODA’s sell restaurant gift cards as an easy way to earn money for camp. The website is www.easy-fundraising-ideas.com/products/restaurant-discount-cards as well as fundraising.restaurant.com.
Here are instructions for ordering restaurant cards: A minimum order of 10 cards ($100) on a credit card must be made. Each card is sold for $20, with each card having value of up to $50. The profit is $100 total on this order. If you have any questions or need help to get started, you can contact Kari at Kari@easy-fundraising-ideas.com. These gift cards are great for holidays, anniversaries, birthdays, just because, or thank yous!

Time to clean out your house and get rid of stuff you don’t need! If you are crafty why don’t you think about making something to sell! (Etsy.com is a great way to sell homemade crafts! Accounts are free.) Advertising your special skills is another great idea! If you love to walk dogs, babysit, or want to provide some other service then let your neighbors and community know! Bake sales are also a great idea! If you don’t want to end up with leftover cookies then you can take orders for your special homemade cookies ahead of time!
Meal Fundraising, or Bunco Parties:
Host a spaghetti dinner, pancake brunch, or something along that path and invite the community to attend. It is a lot of work, you will need volunteers, but the payoff should be more than worth it!
Host a movie at a venue in your town! ASL Films will work with any organization to release a movie (permission by the movie company is necessary). All you need is a theater, popcorn and candy and you are set! Does hosting at a theater cost too much? Ask your church, community college or a training center for their help!

It works well for some families. It is recommended that several families work together.
Sign up for a college concession stand and work there for several days/nights depending on their schedule and earn 10 percent of their sales. Set up a KODA group in your city and sign up for local concession stands. It required a team of one or two persons to fully commit to attend every game to ensure consistency to work with the lead person. It is worth a try. How about major sport events? It is fun and intense (not to mention for a great cause, your kids!).
Wisconsin has a bratfest event that happens in Madison every year during the Memorial Day weekend. It’s such a fun-filled event. Brats, corns, and ice-cream is sold at the event. Parents, and campers will get a chance to work different shifts all weekend so they can help fundraise funds. Bratfest will calculate the total amount that was earned by the KODA Midwest group. Once the calculated check is sent to KODA Camp Midwest then Karen Dishno will look at the list, and deposit whatever money the camper raised from this event into their account. The Bratfest event is usually announced either on Facebook and via e-mail in late February or early March. An email will be sent out to the campers and their families about this. If you are interested in being a part of the event you need to contact Karen Dishno before the end of January to be placed on the list. The Bratfest volunteer list fills up real fast. Check to see if your state has a similar event.
